Download and Installation

This section describes how to get a computer set up to run roxie.

Requirements

At CERN, Roxie is installed and available on linux already, so there is no need to download anything. The only requirement is a Computer which can connect to a linux computer (and forward the GUI efficiently). To set up your computer, follow the steps provided for Windows, Or Linux/Mac.

Without access to CERN ressources, you need to set up your own roxie machine, which is described in here.

Python packages

We distribute Python packages for interfacing to Roxie, which can be downloaded from pip. More details can be found here:

Docker environment

We provide a Docker container for roxie, which can be accessed via Browser (WebVNC client to the Linux Destktop) or REST API. The Roxie Docker section provides information on the requirements and set up for this.
